Lose It!

I've recently joined Lose It!, (within the last week) which is a site similar to MyFitnessPal. For those of you that don't know what Lose It! is, it is a website that helps you track you calorie intake (both food and exercise), weight (as well as BMI), food (your favorites, nutrients), exercise (favorite exercises). There are also forums, challenges you can take part it, set goals for yourself and view reports by the day and week. If you are a premium user ($40/year) you can also sync Lose It! with many other applications and devices, including the popular FitBit series of trackers and scale, RunKeeper, MapMyFitness, and the Withings scales and blood pressure monitor. For the premium price you also get additional trackers including steps, exercise minutes, sleep, body measurements, blood pressure and blood glucose. Now, you do not have to be a premium member, you can use the Android application (as well as the iPhone application) for free. I am loving this application (more than MFP). I think the design is sleeker and that it is easier to navigate (personally). I also find the community nicer, in some aspects, depending on the part of the community you are in. It is always good to have motivation while you try to lose weight, be it online or off-line. I give the whole Lose It! experience so far a 4.8/5. Yes, I know it's an odd number but it's missing the .2 because you have to upgrade to sync most devices when you can do that for free with others. With that being said, I think the upgrade IS worth it, if you have the extra money and that it is a GREAT deal since it's for the whole year.
